Hi everyone~ I’m back with another staycation review after a while😊

This time I went to Ananti at Busan Cove, the famous property in Gijang, Busan! Honestly, this has been on my wishlist for a long time, and I finally made it happen. With spring teasing us these days, is there anything more exciting than a staycation by the southern sea? Packed my bags and zoomed down to Busan🚗💨

Arrival & Check-in

The moment you arrive at Ananti Cove, the atmosphere just feels different. Driving through the signature entrance tunnel feels like being drawn into an underwater passage, you know what I mean? Even the approach itself made me think, “Wow… this place is on another level,” and I was already buzzing with excitement🤭

After parking in the basement garage, you head up to check in. Here’s a useful tip: check-in is on the 10th floor. First-timers can get confused, so keep this in mind👍 Same with Hyatt Busan — hotels in this area often handle check-in on higher floors.

When you get up to the 10th floor, you’ll see the restaurant and cafe first, with the check-in desk just beyond. The staff were really friendly and walked us through everything carefully, so if you have any questions, definitely ask right there! They’ll fill you in on breakfast options and amenity discounts too, so make sure to listen up~

Information cards from check-in

They give you several cards about breakfast, restaurants, and the membership program. Worth snapping photos of so you can refer back to them.

The Room — Premier Twin Room, Mountain View

This time we were assigned a Premier Twin Room with mountain view. To be honest, we booked last-minute (just two days before), so options were limited🤣 But we ended up on the 6th floor, which was pretty nice!

Premier Twin Room beds at Ananti Cove

The moment we opened the door, an audible “oh~” escaped. Two twin beds side by side, and the room itself was so spacious that the three of us had plenty of room to spread out. And the bedding? So plush — you know that kind of bed where you fall asleep the second you lie down? Yep, exactly that😴

There’s also a terrace where you can step out for some fresh air, and the room is divided into well-thought-out zones so you really feel at ease.

I would’ve loved an ocean view, but the mountain view had its own quiet charm! Lots of photo spots too — I took plenty of pictures📸

The bathroom is the real main event

And when we talk about Ananti rooms, you absolutely cannot skip the bathroom! I’d read about it in other reviews, and honestly, it feels like the bathroom is the main attraction of this hotel, lol.

Double-vanity bathroom in the Ananti Cove guest room

  • TWO sinks! No more taking turns brushing teeth with the family — so convenient
  • Separate shower booth, separate toilet, separate bathtub — everything compartmentalized
  • Amenities are mostly all there, except toothbrush and toothpaste (a lot of hotels skip these these days)
  • Bath salts are placed next to the tub, so no need to bring your own bubbles

Filling the tub with warm water, climbing in, and soaking while gazing out at the scenery… isn’t that basically paradise on earth?🛁✨

In-room Amenities & Room Service

The in-room offerings are pretty well-stocked. The mini-fridge has a nice variety of beers and drinks, and prices are surprisingly reasonable. Beer is mostly in the 5,000–6,000 KRW range, which I heard is the same as at Moby Dick Market in Ananti Town. I love that they don’t gouge you👍

On top of the fridge, you’ll find a capsule coffee machine, kettle, and a tidy little setup of snacks and tea. The capsule coffee is actually Ananti’s own brand, and if you like it, you can buy it at the town store!

Open the drawers and you’ll find wine glasses, water glasses, teacups, plates, and even a wine opener — no need to call the front desk for anything. I loved those thoughtful little details🥰

🍯 Good-to-know tips

  • 2 bottles of water are free; extra ones are 1,000 KRW
  • Need a wine chiller or ice bucket? Just call the front desk
  • The gym is open 24/7 and free!
  • The Water House is free once per stay (4 hours) for guests — and you can still use it until 3 PM on checkout day

We tried ordering pizza through room service, but… honestly, it was kind of meh😅 I’d recommend getting your pizza somewhere else, lol.

The Water House — Finally, the Pool!

I’ve been totally obsessed with swimming lately (full-on pool addict, lol), so I was beyond excited for the Water House!

The Water House is on the G floor, but you have to step outside to get there. On chilly days, make sure to throw on a robe or jacket~

Guests get one free 4-hour session per stay. We were a party of 2 adults + 1 child, so we paid extra for our little one. Whatever you do, don’t skip the free pass!! It would be such a waste😭

Water House price list and information

After a quick briefing, you’re in! You can ask for as many clothing bags as you need, and if you have your own swim gear, just let them know in advance.

Water House rules and policies

The best part about the Water House? Swim caps, swimsuits, and aqua shoes are all optional. As long as you tie your hair up properly, you’re good👌 The rules are pretty laid-back, so you can really relax and enjoy it.

🌊 The media pool is something else

The indoor pool is actually a media pool with visuals projected throughout — the atmosphere is absolutely magical. The water is shallow too, perfect for kids, and my elementary schooler was diving and splashing around having the time of their life🏊‍♂️

🌊 The outdoor pool view is unreal

The moment you step out to the outdoor pool, you’ll let out an “oh wow~”. Swimming with crashing ocean waves right next to you… I genuinely felt like an Olympic athlete for a moment there🤭

The outdoor pool actually has two depths — 1.2m and 0.8m — though only one was open the day we went. If anyone in your group doesn’t swim, there’s a comfortable lounge area where they can wait, so no worries there~

Strolling Around Ananti Cove & The Grounds

It felt like a waste to stay holed up in the hotel, so we wandered around the Cove grounds too. The architecture itself feels like a piece of art.

And another Ananti Cove highlight you can’t miss: Eternal Journey (the bookstore). If you love books, you can easily lose track of time here.

Final Verdict on Ananti Cove

Alright, here’s my honest take!

👍 What I loved

  • The room quality is really excellent. The bathroom in particular? Incomparable to other hotels!
  • Tons of amenities (bookstore, market, cafes, restaurants) — you could easily spend your whole stay just inside the property
  • Staff were friendly and gave thorough explanations
  • Genuinely one of the best spots for families with kids

😅 What was a bit disappointing

  • Signage isn’t very detailed, so first-timers can feel a little lost. It has that “regulars-only” vibe
  • The indoor pool doesn’t open until 9 AM (6–9 AM is members-only)
  • Skip the room service pizza…
  • Booking being limited to family members can be a barrier for general guests

All in all? I can confidently say it’s somewhere you should visit at least once! Next time, I won’t be greedy — I’ll just stay put for the whole 2 nights and really soak it in😍

Next post will be the Ananti Village review~ stay tuned❤️
